WHY CONTAINER HOMES?
ENVIRONMENTAL
Containers are an environmental building solution as re-purposed containers are turned into new homes. Installing further eco-friendly materials along with sustainable technology can easily gain you a green building status.
CONSTRUCTION
Containers still require minimal site preparation which can be done while containers are manufactured off-site. This speeds up construction and reduces the risk of delays. After manufacturing containers are delivered to an already prepared site.
MODULAR DESIGNS
Many see the containers narrowness as a downfall, however, in creating passive designs narrow, open-plan floor layouts are encouraged to ensure adequate passive heating aswell as natural ventilation of interior spaces.
COST-EFFECTIVE
Due to the structural integrity of the containers aswell as reduced materials required for construction, containers can work out almost 30% cheaper than conventional building methods. We encourage locally sourced materials aswell as labour.

Timber has been shown to create a less humid environment which can help those who suffer from allergies.

This property is what contributes to timber buildings having a calming affect on people because you are bringing nature into your building method. When it comes to the construction process, timber members can be manufactured off-site creating a much quicker construction time. Timber is a lightweight material allowing it to span great distances achieving the design you want. Contrary to popular believe, if the correct treatment is applied, timber has less maintenance.

The biggest cost saver when it comes to timber construction is timelines. A small to medium sized home can have a construction time of 4-months saving you so much money in the long run. Depending on your finishes there are numerous cost effective alternatives that will still create your dream timber home.
